Role Summary
This position performs Computed Tomography (CT) scans to produce cross-sectional images of tissues and organs, aiding in diagnosis and treatment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare patients, explain procedures, administer contrast, position patients, select imaging techniques, and ensure scan quality.
- Monitor patient data, perform equipment quality assurance, and assist with accreditation processes.
- Identify and report equipment issues or incidents, provide emergency coverage, and support department goals.
- Adhere to safety protocols and promote compassionate, personalized patient care.
- Support professional growth, serve as a mentor, and contribute to a team environment.
Qualifications & Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program, with current licensure and certification (ARRT-CT or NMTCB(CT)).
- Minimum of one year CT experience or two years as a Radiologic Technologist with CT training preferred.
- Ability to lift/maneuver patients, and knowledge of growth/development principles for various age groups.
- Certification in Basic or Advanced Life Support.
- Ability to work in a team, and commitment to safety and quality patient care.
