CRT - Respiratory Therapist - Multiple Shifts

About the Role

Support hospital-wide patient care as part of the Respiratory Therapy team, managing conditions like asthma and respiratory distress. Provide evaluation and care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, developing and implementing personalized care plans. Monitor patient progress, perform advanced respiratory care modalities, and evaluate treatment effectiveness. Educate patients and families about health conditions and available community resources. Maintain and calibrate equipment, manage departmental supplies, and ensure proper sterilization procedures. Respond to emergency resuscitation calls.

Requirements

• Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy.
• Certified Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the National Board for Respiratory Care (NBRC).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire, accepted from American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy.
