About the Role
Join a Respiratory Therapy team supporting hospital-wide patient care, focusing on managing conditions like asthma and respiratory distress.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and provide care for patients with respiratory insufficiencies, developing tailored treatment plans based on diagnoses.
- Implement, monitor, and record patient care, including advanced respiratory modalities and equipment management.
- Assess respiratory practices, medication administration, and treatment effectiveness, adjusting as needed.
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and community resources.
- Assist with equipment calibration, maintenance, inventory management, and sterilization procedures.
- Respond to emergency resuscitation calls promptly.
Requirements
- Licensed Respiratory Therapist credentialed from the Alabama Board of Respiratory Therapy.
- Certified Respiratory Therapist from the NBRC.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days of hire.
- Graduate of an accredited School of Respiratory Therapy.
