About the role
Cleveland Clinic is currently seeking CRNAs for opportunities at Akron General Medical Center. Akron General is a 500+ bed hospital with a level 1 Trauma Center. Case mix includes: Neuro, NIL, CV, Endo, GU, GYN, Spine, Ortho, Plastics, ENT, Heart, General, Colorectal, Bronch, EPS, and GI. There are currently CRNAs assigned to OB, however there may be opportunities to those with interest. Various scheduling options available.
Responsibilities
- Performs and documents a pre-anesthetic assessment and evaluation of the patient.
- Develops and implements an anesthetic plan of care, including monitoring modalities and post-anesthesia follow-up evaluation and care.
- Selects, obtains and administers the anesthetic plan of care, including induction, maintenance and emergence phase anesthesia.
- Recognizes alterations in physiologic responses to the surgical procedure and/or the anesthetic, takes appropriate action and notifies the responsible physician as indicated.
- Follows Hospital and department policies and procedures with special attention to attendance and punctuality, confidentiality, dress code and display of ID badge, and safety.
- Completes mandatory education and training in order to maintain organization and department-specific competencies and requirements.
Qualifications
- Graduate of accredited CRNA program.
- Current state licensure as a registered nurse (RN).
- Certified registered nurse anesthetist (CRNA) from the Ohio Board of Nursing.
- Current certification and continued professional certification (CPC) with the National Board of Certification Recertification for Nurse Anesthetists (NBCRNA) and State Board of Nursing endorsement.
- Basic Life Support (BLS).
- Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required.
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) through American Heart Association (AHA) certification may be required based upon work setting.
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) through American Academy of Pediatrics certifications may be required based upon work setting.

Pay Range
Minimum Annual Salary: $230,000.00
Maximum Annual Salary: $299,000.00
