About the role

The Crisis & Referral Specialist role is available to candidates residing in the state of Nevada. This position offers flexible full-time work from home options, with mandatory in-person training sessions held Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM Pacific Standard Time (PST) for four weeks. The schedule operates 24/7, seven days a week, accommodating all shifts including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

  • Takes inbound calls from individuals needing support, services, or who may be in crisis.
  • Performs safety screenings and assessments to discern the presence and acuity of risk to the safety of the individual or others.
  • Uses information provided by the caller and obtained during screenings and assessments to accurately understand the individual's needs and develop a plan of action in collaboration with the individual.
  • Completes appropriate, timely, and accurate documentation of interactions in accordance with established criteria.
  • Provides linkage follow-up as directed to assure the individual accesses services.
  • Collaborates with other agencies, organizations, and individuals to ensure optimal use of resources, services, and natural support systems.
  • Ensures compliance with all HIPAA, OSHA, and other federal, state, and local regulations.

Requirements

  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 1 year of experience in behavioral health or a minimum of 6 months of direct crisis experience, including screenings and assessments to determine appropriate interventions.
  • Preferred skills include a bachelor’s degree in a mental health or other human services field, two years of experience working directly with individuals in need of behavioral health services, call center experience, and crisis experience.

Pay

The salary range for this specific position is $23.11 to $36.40 per hour. Location: Nevada. For candidates working in person or virtually in the below location(s), the salary range is $23.11 to $36.40 per hour.

Schedule

This is a 24-hour call center role, requiring all shifts including weekends and holidays. The training sessions are held Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM PST for four weeks.
