Crisis Center Clinician - Fri-Mon 1st Shift (26-91)

About the role

The employee hired for this position will work onsite at 260 Jefferson Ave SE Suite 100. This role provides crisis intervention, assessments, therapy, and referral services for adults presenting to the Crisis Center, which includes a Brief Intervention Clinic and a Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU).

Responsibilities

• Provide crisis intervention, assessments, therapy, and referral services for adults presenting to the Crisis Center.
• Work in a variety of settings and via face-to-face contact or telehealth (video or telephonic).
• Assess and provide unscheduled clinical services designed to prevent or resolve mental health or substance-related crises.
• Divert individuals from jail, emergency departments, and inpatient psychiatric hospital settings to an appropriate least restrictive treatment setting whenever it can be achieved safely and successfully.
• Work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously.
• Communicate clearly and concisely in stressful situations, both verbally and in writing.
• Work effectively in a multicultural environment and bridge language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Counseling Psychology.
• Certification or Licensure in the State of Michigan as a Limited Licensed Master Social Worker, professional counselor, marriage and family therapist, or psychologist; OR be eligible for a limited license as stated above and obtain that licensure within three (3) months of hire.
• Thorough working knowledge of the practices and principles of psychological, emotional, and sociological assessment and diagnosis.
• Thorough working knowledge of professional ethics and standards of practice.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to reliable transportation for job related use.
• Ability to handle stressful situations calmly and rationally.
• Ability to communicate clearly and concisely in stressful situations.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment and bridge language/cultural barriers to Network180 services within diverse communities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Counseling Psychology.
• Licensed Master Social Worker.
• Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued.

Skills

• Computer skills including word processing, spreadsheets, email, database management, electronic health record, and data entry skills.

Pay

The final job offer is based on several factors (internal equity, skills, education, experience, and credentials). Additional Compensation: 25% Premium pay, $2 Shift differential on Saturday and Sunday.

Schedule

This assignment is full-time, 40 hours a week, working Friday through Monday from 6:00am to 4:00pm. This assignment is in-person at 260 Jefferson Ave SE Suite 100 Grand Rapids, Michigan 49503.
