About the role

The Crisis Center Manager oversees clinical services in the Crisis Center, which includes a Brief Intervention Clinic and Crisis Stabilization Unit. They provide clinical leadership, supervise staff, and consult with clinicians and providers to ensure appropriate levels of care and access to necessary services.

Responsibilities

  • Provides clinical leadership and expertise

  • Ensures quality care for all people seeking assistance
  • Manages all operations of the team on shift
  • Ensures collaboration and coordination with community providers
  • Manages the services provided and workflow through direct clinician interventions, delegation, and coordination of staff roles
  • Ensures the appropriateness of staff interactions with people served
  • Provides assessment and unscheduled clinical services designed to prevent or resolve mental health or substance-related crises
  • Diverts individuals from jail, emergency departments, and inpatient psychiatric hospital settings to an appropriate least restrictive treatment setting whenever it can be achieved safely and successfully

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, or Counseling Psychology
  • Fully Licensed in the State of Michigan as a Master Social Worker, Professional Counselor, or Psychologist
  • At least two years of post-Master’s degree experience in the behavioral health field
  • Knowledge of crisis intervention and treatment methodology
  • Computer skills, including use of Microsoft Office programs and telehealth

Preferred Qualifications

  • Supervisory experience
  • MCBAP, CAADC certification
  • Active full licensure maintained for at least one year
  • Lived experiences with mental illness/developmental disabilities/substance use disorders valued
