Crisis Assessment Specialist - Crisis Center - Full time
About the role
The Crisis Assessment Specialist provides emergency behavioral health pre-screening, psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and referral management to patients and their families.
Responsible for assisting patients and their families in understanding and learning to cope with behavioral crisis and facilitating appropriate transition or admission planning for those patients needing placement in Behavioral health treatment facilities or programs.
Aid families in resolving complex personal and environmental difficulties that interfere with effective social functioning.
This position collaborates interdepartmentally with all divisions of the hospital.
Responsibilities
- Provide emergency behavioral health pre-screening, psychosocial assessments, crisis intervention, and referral management to patients and their families.
- Assist patients and their families in understanding and coping with behavioral crises.
- Facilitate appropriate transition or admission planning for patients needing behavioral health treatment.
- Collaborate with other hospital divisions to support patient care.
- Aid families in resolving complex personal and environmental issues affecting social functioning.
Requirements
- Master’s Degree in Social Work or Counseling required.
- One of the following certifications required:
- LSW Ohio - Ohio Licensed Social Worker
- LPC - Licensed Professional Counselor
Qualifications
- CPR Certification preferred, not required.
Skills
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving and crisis intervention skills.
Benefits
Eligible for shift differential.
Shifts are on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday with a weekend every 4 weeks.
Serving the Crisis Center at the Mathile Center.
Pay
Full-time, 36 hours per week.
Schedule
2:00 PM - 2:30 AM, 3 (12) hour shifts.
