Crisis Assessment Specialist
About the role
The Crisis Assessment Specialist will assess clients in collaboration with emergency department personnel, psychiatrists, clinicians, attending physicians, and managed care representatives. Responsibilities include providing recommendations for client disposition. Duties may include face-to-face evaluations, telehealth triage evaluations, responding to and triaging patient/family complaints, assisting in the management of assessment records, and performing statistical analysis.
Requirements
- At least one year crisis experience, preferred two years’ experience in direct behavioral health clinical care.
- Competence with DSM diagnostic criteria and treatment planning.
- Demonstrates clinical and ethical professionalism, conflict resolution, and critical thinking skills.
- Adequate and available transportation for response to various evaluation sites.
- Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Nursing, or related behavioral health field.
- Current license in the state of employment in one of the following disciplines: Clinical Psychologist (PSY), LCSW, LPC, LMFT, RN CNS, RN NP, LAC, CSW, ACHMC, Associate level Mental Health Therapy License, Associate Marriage and Family Therapist, if proper supervision is required and can be met by hospital staff.
- For St. Anthony North Hospital, St. Anthony Hospital, Penrose St. Francis, St. Mary Corwin, and St. Thomas Moore only: Current Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS).
Qualifications
- Physical Requirements: Medium Work - Exert up to 50lbs force occasionally, and/or up to 20lbs frequently, and/or up to 10lbs constantly.

Pay
The posted compensation range is $29.81 - $43.25 /hour, which is a reasonable estimate based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit Health may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Schedule
The Crisis Assessment Specialist works Monday–Wednesday and Saturday, from 7:00pm to 5:30am, with a shift of Night and a total of 80 hours per week.
