About the role
This role supports financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a regulated financial services environment.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with loan officers to manage complex commercial banking relationships
- Conduct detailed credit analysis and prepare comprehensive credit packages for approval
- Monitor compliance with borrowing base reports and loan covenants
- Identify early warning signs for potential borrower issues through regular financial reviews
- Provide customer service to clients, participating in sales calls and direct correspondence
- Submit required reports promptly and resolve associated issues efficiently
- Possibly mentor junior Portfolio Managers to enhance their skills
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in business, Accounting, Finance or related field
- 5+ years of commercial banking experience, particularly in credit underwriting
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written
- In-depth knowledge of maturing loans, term extensions, and loan restructuring processes
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex documents
- Self-starter with a track record of mentoring peers and taking initiatives
- Proficiency in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and familiarity with commercial lending software

Pay
$141,354 – $207,900 annually
