Credit & Collections Specialist Senior (US)

About the Role

The Credit & Collections Specialist Senior (US) is responsible for complex collection activities related to past‑due health insurance premiums and/or past‑due health insurance claims.

Responsibilities

• Follow established guidelines and contact groups to collect past‑due insurance premiums and/or claims.
• Research the validity of past‑due and/or disputed debt.
• Generate demand letters.
• Prepare reports reflecting the status of credit and collection activities for management review.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 2 years of commercial debt collection experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Preferred Skills, Capabilities, and Experiences

• Experience with NextGen and Waystar systems.
• Experience supporting Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial Insurance accounts.
• Proven background in commercial insurance collections, claims follow‑up, and denial resolution.
• Knowledge of healthcare revenue cycle management and payer reimbursement processes.

Schedule

This role is primarily virtual full‑time, with required in‑person training sessions and occasional on‑site work as dictated by the hiring manager. Alternate locations may be considered for candidates within commuting distance of an office. Candidates not within a reasonable commuting distance from the posting location will not be considered unless accommodation is required by law.
