Creative Arts Therapist (Per Diem)

About the role

This role involves providing creative arts therapy to patients, caregivers, and bereaved individuals in hospice and palliative care settings within Nassau and Queens counties.

Responsibilities

• Conducting clinical assessments
• Delivering tailored therapy interventions
• Documenting care in compliance with organizational standards
• Managing referrals
• Participating in home and facility-based visits
• Facilitating counseling and group sessions
• Supporting clinical training, research, and promotional activities to advance the organization’s mission and growth

Qualifications

• Licensed or practicing under permit in NY as a creative arts therapist
• Nationally board certified in music therapy
• Minimum of one year of experience in hospice, palliative care, or acute medical environments (internship hours may be considered)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable vehicle
