Creative Arts Therapist (Per Diem)

About the role

This role involves providing creative arts therapy to patients, caregivers, and bereaved individuals in hospice and palliative care settings within Nassau and Queens counties.

Responsibilities

• Conducting clinical assessments
• Implementing therapy interventions
• Documenting according to standards
• Participating in the training and supervision of therapy interns
• Supporting special programming, research, education, and marketing efforts to advance the organization’s mission
• Triaging referrals
• Delivering home and facility-based services
• Providing counseling and group therapy

Qualifications

• NY State licensure or permit in creative arts therapy
• National board certification in music therapy
• Minimum of one year of relevant experience in hospice, palliative, or acute care settings
