Creative Arts Therapist (Per Diem)

Role Overview: Provides creative arts therapy interventions for patients with life-limiting conditions in community and facility settings, primarily covering Nassau and Queens counties. Key Responsibilities: Conducts clinical assessments, executes therapeutic interventions, manages referrals, and documents care according to standards. Participates in training, supervision, and supports program growth through research, education, and outreach. Qualifications & Skills: Must be licensed or practicing under permit in NY as a creative arts therapist, nationally certified in music therapy, with at least one year of relevant experience in hospice, palliative, or medical settings. Valid driver’s license and vehicle are required. Accepts and triages referrals for therapy servicesPerforms comprehensive initial assessments and updatesImplements appropriate creative arts therapy interventionsPrepares clinical documentation adhering to standardsSupports program promotion and organizational growth
