Crane Rental Estimator & Sales Representative – Early Career

Jeffers Crane Service has an early career level opportunity for a Crane Rental Estimator & Sales Representative for the greater Detroit area and North region. This is a young territory with growth potential.

Responsibilities

• Marketing and sales for the greater Detroit area and North.
• Evaluating job sites to provide the most efficient and effective way to perform the task safely and then providing the customer with a professional quote.
• Coordinating sales efforts by studying existing and potential volume of customers.
• Communicating with management by submitting activity and results reports on a regular basis.
• Analyzing current marketplace information on pricing, available products, marketing and merchandising techniques, etc.
• Submitting recommendations on changes in services, policies, etc., based on evaluation of current competitive developments.
• Providing great customer service by investigating customer complaints, developing solutions, and making recommendations to management.
• Maintaining records on area and customer sales; providing historical reports.
• Maintaining professional and technical knowledge by attending technical workshops, reviewing professional and industry-related publications, establishing personal networks, etc.

Requirements

• Customer service oriented with good communication skills.
• Closing skills, territory management, prospecting, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Self-confidence and motivation; product knowledge and ability to maintain client relationships.
• Comfortable using Microsoft Office and Apple products is desired.
• Ability to learn lift planning software.
• Must have a valid driver’s license with an acceptable MVR.
• Currently live in or be willing to relocate to the greater Detroit area.

Schedule

This position is a full-time, exempt role. Occasional overnight travel in the local area may be required.
