Courtroom Clerk - Clerk of Superior Court
Requirements
To be considered for this role, applicants must have a High School Diploma or a GED.
Applicants will be asked to provide information about their education, including the name, city, and state of the high school and colleges attended, as well as the major course of study and type of degree awarded.
Applicants will also be asked to list any job-related licenses, registrations, certificates, and professional memberships, including the type, numbers, issuing states, and expiration dates.
Experience
- Typing routine materials, such as reports, forms, correspondence, and memoranda
- Transcribing correspondence, reports, or memoranda from notes and/or dictation
- Proofreading and/or editing documents for grammar, punctuation, spelling, or format
- Proofreading data to verify its accuracy
- Updating and correcting information in an automated system
- Filing and retrieving documents in established filing systems
- Preparing and updating logs, file folders, and other documents
- Answering telephones and relaying messages
- Answering questions from the public by phone or in person
- Resolving minor problems in person, by phone, or correspondence
- Preparing and maintaining confidential materials
- Training other staff members in clerical procedures
Work Environment
Applicants will be asked to select the work environments in which they have had at least two years of full-time paid experience, including:

Skills
Applicants will be asked to provide information about their speedwriting/shorthand speed and keyboarding speed using a word processor.
