Courier/Swing Drvr/DOT

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service and performs related customer service functions. Provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area. Performs other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up packages
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service features
• Provide coverage for assigned routes within the station’s service area
• Perform customer service functions
• Lift and maneuver packages, including those over 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance
• Maintain a neat appearance for customer contact
• Comply with federal motor carrier safety regulations and company policies

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• Six months of courier experience preferred
• Ability to demonstrate knowledge of the station’s service area
• Must be at least 21 years of age
• Valid driver’s license for the previous three-year period with a good driving record
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs and communicate with officials
• Must pass a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Skills

• Ability to lift 50 lbs and maneuver heavier packages with assistance or equipment
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills
• Adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods

Pay

Starting at $25.65/hr - Up to $38.93/hr. Actual starting pay determined by experience, market level, and location.

Schedule

Full-time, Monday–Saturday, 7:00 AM–6:00 PM. Day off to be determined.
