About the role

Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards. Provides coverage for assigned routes within the station’s service area. Performs related customer service functions.

Responsibilities

• Lifts and moves packages weighing up to 50 lbs using appropriate equipment and assistance.
• Ensures compliance with FedEx service standards during deliveries and pickups.
• Provides customer service functions as needed.
• Coverage of assigned routes within the station's service area.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six (6) months courier experience preferred.
• Demonstrated area knowledge.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
• Adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
• At least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently.

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Good driving record as outlined in policy.
• Valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements.
• Medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.

Job Conditions

• Neat appearance due to customer contact.
• Maintains qualifications as outlined in the federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Requires medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Works in a constant state of alertness and safely.

Additional Details

• Schedule: Monday through Saturday, 8am-6pm.
• Pay: Starts at $23.42 per hour.
