Courier/Swing Drvr/DOT

Operates company vehicles and provides courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages; checks shipments for conformance to FedEx features of service; provides coverage for all assigned routes within the station's service area; and performs related customer service functions. Additional duties may be assigned.

• Deliver and pick up packages efficiently and courteously.
• Check shipments for conformance to FedEx service features.
• Cover all assigned routes within the station's service area.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Six months of courier experience preferred.
• Must demonstrate knowledge of the service area.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs; maneuver packages above 50 lbs with appropriate equipment or assistance.
• Good human relations and verbal communication skills.
• Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred.
• Demonstrated adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Ability to read and speak English sufficiently to understand traffic signs, communicate with traffic safety officials, and respond to inquiries.
• Neat appearance due to customer contact.
• Must meet and maintain qualifications outlined in federal motor carrier safety regulations.
• Requires a medical exam in accordance with FMCSA or FAA regulations.
• Must obtain and maintain a valid driver's license in accordance with state requirements and have a good driving record.
• Non-covered safety-sensitive position.
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner.

Pay

Starting pay: $22.30 per hour.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, various hours.
