About the role

Operates company vehicles to provide courteous and efficient delivery and pick-up of packages. Checks shipments for conformance to FedEx service standards. Provides coverage for assigned routes within the station’s service area. Performs related customer service functions.

Responsibilities

Lifts and moves packages weighing up to 50 lbs using appropriate equipment and assistance.
Ensures compliance with FedEx service features and customer expectations.
Communicates effectively with customers and colleagues.
Adapts to changing conditions and maintains a safe working environment.
Completes medical examinations as required by FMCSA or FAA regulations.
Maintains a neat appearance and adheres to safety guidelines.
Complies with federal motor carrier safety regulations.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED
Six (6) months courier experience preferred
Area knowledge demonstrated
Good human relations and verbal communication skills
Thorough knowledge of the station's service area preferred
Adaptability, dependability, and excellent courier methods
Valid driver’s license in accordance with state requirements
Good driving record as per FMCSA or FAA regulations

Qualifications

At least 21 years of age
Ability to read and speak English sufficiently
Knowledge of local traffic laws and safety regulations

Physical ability to lift and move packages

Adaptability and dependability

Current Hourly Rate: $27.05 - $38.93

Schedule

Mondays: 7:30am - 5:15pm
Tuesday through Friday: 9:15am - 6:15pm

Preferred Qualifications

Monday shift: 7:30am - 5:15pm
Tuesday through Friday shift: 9:15am - 6:15pm
