County Social Services Aide 1 (Local Government)
About the role
This position supports caseworkers in delivering services to children and families. Key aspects include transportation, visit assistance, family support, administrative tasks, and court support.
Responsibilities
- Provide safe, reliable rides for children and families to scheduled appointments
- Observe and document supervised visits between parents and children
- Help clients access community services as directed by casework staff
- Complete logs, organize case files, and handle routine clerical tasks such as copying and data entry
- Assist with transportation and tasks related to court-ordered services
Requirements
The position requires a high school diploma or its equivalent, along with the ability to meet the PA residency requirement. A conditional offer of employment will require a drug screening and satisfactory criminal history reports, including PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance.
Qualifications
Graduation from high school or any equivalent combination of training and experience is required. Other requirements include being able to perform essential job functions and meeting the PA residency requirement.

Schedule
Full-time employment with work hours from 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday through Friday. Occasional nights, weekends, and overtime may be needed. Telework is not available for this position.
