County Social Services Aide 1 (Local Government) - Children & Youth Services

Responsibilities

• Provide training and guidance in budgeting, parenting, nutrition, and home care
• Monitor and support visits between children and parents in safe settings
• Transport clients to appointments, services, and supervised visits as required
• Help families with daily household needs, errands, and emergency support tasks
• Prepare written updates, maintain files, and report information to caseworkers
• Assist with programs, meetings, and activities that support children and families

Qualifications

• Graduation from high school or any equivalent combination of training and experience
• PA residency requirement
• Pass a background investigation and drug screening
• Submit satisfactory criminal history reports including PA State Police clearance, PA Child Abuse history clearance, and FBI Fingerprint clearance

Schedule

• Full-time employment
• Work hours: 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday
• 60-minute lunch break
• Possible travel requiring overnight stays
• Possible after-hour appointments for supervised visitation and transportation
• No telework option
