Responsibilities
- Work with county Farm Bureaus to encourage member involvement
- Aid county committees and support Farm Bureau programs and services
- Aid the executive committee in preparing the annual budget
- Pay all routine bills within the budget
- Maintain financial records including month-end reports, year-end reports, and bank reconciliations
- Prepare agendas and provide necessary information and correspondence for board and executive committee meetings
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- One to three years general business and office management experience required
- Ability and willingness to promote the objectives of the Farm Bureau organization required
- Willingness to work with the public utilizing various methods of communication required
- Must be able to work with volunteers, coworkers, county Farm Bureau members, and the general public, while maintaining a service-conscious, helpful, and courteous attitude
- Valid driver license with an acceptable driving record required
Preferred
- Associate degree preferred
- Volunteer management experience preferred
- Prior work experience with other volunteer organizations preferred
Schedule
This is a part-time position working 3 - (8 hour) days per week. Flexible days - either Monday, Wednesday, Friday or Monday and two other days - 24 hours per week.
