Major/Essential Functions

• Collect, monitor, and accurately report patient data to detect changes in condition, aiding in the identification of health concerns and the development of individualized care plans.
• Prepare and skillfully operate medical equipment and instruments necessary for examinations, treatments, and clinical procedures.
• Absorb or independently perform patient exams and procedures to provide timely and thorough care.
• Administer medications or support medication administration following established safety protocols.
• Evaluate and triage patient care requests promptly to ensure proper prioritization and coordination of treatment.
• Conduct nursing rounds across assigned areas to monitor patient status and respond to healthcare needs efficiently.
• Collaborate as part of a multidisciplinary healthcare team to maintain a safe and therapeutic environment.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support overall patient care and facility operations.

Required Qualifications

• Function within their legal scope of practice and in accordance with the policies and procedures of the organization and practice setting.
• Work under the direction of a registered nurse as part of a total correctional managed health care team in providing safe and competent care to patients.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with electronic health records.
• Experience operating in a dynamic health facility under the direction of supervising nurses.

Pay
