About The Position

The Riverside County Sheriff's Office is currently recruiting for Correctional Deputy Trainees and Deputy Sheriff Trainees to be assigned throughout Riverside County.

Requirements

• Education: Graduation from a U.S. high school, possession of a Certificate of Proficiency issued by the California State Board of Education, or attainment of a satisfactory score on a G.E.D. examination.
• Licenses: Possession of a valid Driver’s License at the time of application.
• Legality for Employment: Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States under federal law.
• Age: Must be at least 18 years old by application date for Correctional Deputy Trainee, and at least 20 years and 9 months old at the start of the academy for Deputy Sheriff Trainee.

Qualifications

• Corrections Deputies: Age 18 or older by application date.
• Deputy Sheriffs: Age 20 and 9 months or older at the start of the academy.

• Correctional Deputy I: $30.52 - $33.49 hourly, $5,290.53 - $5,805.31 monthly, $63,486.36 - $69,663.67 annually
• Correctional Deputy II: $33.49 - $46.62 hourly, $5,805.31 - $6,437.31 monthly, $69,663.67 - $8,080.22 annually
• Deputy Sheriff Trainee: $39.35 - $64.75 hourly, $7,340.41 - $11,223.90 monthly, $88,084.95 - $134,686.79 annually
