CORPORATE TRAINER

Key Responsibilities

  • Coach and support Certified Trainers to ensure consistent and effective team member training
  • Assist with onboarding and development of new team members
  • Support Manager-in-Training (MIT) development by reinforcing operational standards and training progress
  • Help maintain a strong culture of coaching, feedback, and development within restaurants
  • Identify future trainers and leaders within restaurant teams

Restaurant Training Standards

  • Support restaurants in maintaining Slim Chickens training standards and procedures
  • Reinforce proper execution of training materials, procedures, and brand standards
  • Aid in training for new menu items and operational updates
  • Help restaurants maintain Certified Training Restaurant (CTR) expectations when applicable

Coaching & Leadership

  • Lead by example in delivering exceptional guest service and operational excellence
  • Provide real-time coaching to team members and trainers
  • Partner with restaurant leadership to support team development
  • Create a positive and motivating training environment

Communication & Training Coordination

  • Communicate training progress, opportunities, and challenges to restaurant leadership and the Field Training Manager (FTM)
  • Provide feedback on trainee performance and readiness
  • Prioritize training initiatives with operational needs
  • Escalate training gaps or operational challenges impacting training success
  • Maintain clear communication with FTM regarding training initiatives and restaurant support needs

Work Environment

  • Primarily performs in a restaurant environment with occasional time spent in an office setting
  • Involves facilitating MIT training, supporting CTRs as needed, and ensuring operational excellence
  • Requires engaging with Team Members, Managers, Operators, and Franchisees, coaching in real-time, and making decisions enhancing Guest and associate satisfaction
  • Some travel between restaurants may be required

Qualifications

  • 1+ year restaurant leadership experience preferred
  • Experience as a Certified Trainer or Shift Manager strongly preferred
  • This position requires the ability to work in restaurant operations during peak business hours, actively coaching and supporting team members during live service

  • Technical Skills: Familiarity with restaurant technology such as POS, KDS, tablets, and mobile systems; Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office or similar tools

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to stand for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 30 lbs
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced restaurant environment

Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
