Corporate / M&A Attorney (Associate / Senior Counsel) Madison WI

What You’ll Do

• Lead day-to-day execution of M&A transactions from inception through closing
• Act as a primary point of contact for clients, counterparties, and deal teams
• Draft and negotiate key transaction documents with precision and commercial insight
• Manage due diligence processes and coordinate multi-disciplinary workstreams
• Supervise and mentor junior attorneys, ensuring high-quality deliverables
• Identify risks and proactively resolve issues to maintain deal momentum

What You Bring

• 4–8 years of experience in corporate law, with a strong focus on M&A
• Demonstrated ability to lead domestic and cross-border transactions
• Extensive experience drafting and negotiating principal deal documents
• Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with sharp attention to detail
• Proven experience mentoring junior lawyers and overseeing delegated work
• Exposure to a range of industries is advantageous

Requirements

• JD from an ABA-accredited law school
• Active bar membership in good standing (or ability to gain admission in the relevant jurisdiction)
• Previous experience working in a law firm is required

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive compensation range: $290,000 – $420,000 (commensurate with experience)
