About the role
The associate will work with clients of all sizes across diverse industries, collaborating with GT attorneys on our global platform. This position is within our Corporate Finance Practice and is ideal for a junior to mid-level associate with 2-6 years of experience in debt finance transactions.
Responsibilities
- Draft, review, and revise credit agreements, debt commitment letters, security agreements, and closing deliverables (e.g., secretary’s certificates, resolutions, legal opinions, schedules, and exhibits).
- Represent lenders and/or borrowers in syndicated credit facilities, acquisition financings, and private credit facilities.
- Manage deal workflows, client interactions, and work product with significant responsibility.
- Collaborate with private equity sponsors and portfolio companies (experience in this area is beneficial).
Requirements
- 2-6 years of experience in finance or corporate law, with a focus on debt finance transactions.
- Substantial experience in lender and/or borrower representations, including syndicated credit facilities, acquisition financings, and private credit facilities (asset-based financing experience is a plus).
- Admission to the Massachusetts Bar or eligibility for admission.
- Strong academic background, superior drafting skills, and a proactive, team-oriented approach.
- Diligence, willingness to take on responsibility, and ability to manage multiple priorities.
Pay
Expected pay range: $235,000–$390,000 per year. Actual compensation will be adjusted based on experience, location, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
