Corporate Banking VP/Director - Technology
Role Overview
Serve as a primary relationship manager and deal originator for corporate clients within the technology sector and specific subsectors. Build, develop, and manage a portfolio of client relationships, driving revenue growth across lending, capital markets, and advisory solutions. Partner with internal product teams to deliver integrated financing and strategic solutions. Contribute meaningfully to the continued growth and market positioning of the Technology vertical.
Key Responsibilities
- Originate new client relationships and expand existing mandates through proactive, senior-level engagement with CEOs, CFOs, and Treasurers.
- Serve as the lead coverage banker for assigned relationships, accountable for client strategy, wallet share, and revenue growth.
- Develop and execute targeted marketing plans to build a sustainable pipeline of new business.
- Leverage deep knowledge of the technology sector, particularly semiconductor and hardware subsectors, to provide differentiated insights and solutions.
- Advises clients on capital structure, financing strategy, and market conditions, drawing on real-time market intelligence.
- Lead cross-functional deal teams across Leveraged Finance, Capital Markets, Portfolio Management, and Risk to deliver best-in-class outcomes.
- Drive credit and transaction processes, including approval materials and committee presentations.
- Champion client opportunities internally and align resources to maximize outcomes.
- Team Development & Franchise Building: Mentor and develop junior bankers while helping scale the broader Technology banking platform.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives that enhance the group’s sector footprint and competitive positioning.
Qualifications
- 8–12+ years of Corporate or Investment Banking experience, including coverage and/or origination responsibilities with a strong preference for exposure to the Semiconductor and Hardware subsectors.
- Proven ability to source, develop, and monetize client relationships at the senior executive level.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage credibly with both clients and internal stakeholders.
- Strong credit, capital markets, and structuring expertise with the ability to deliver holistic client solutions, credit training preferred.
- Track record of operating with increasing autonomy and revenue responsibility.
Pay & Benefits
The salary range for this position is $190,000 - $250,000 per year, plus an opportunity to earn an annual discretionary bonus. Actual pay is based on various factors including but not limited to the work location, relevant skills, and experience.
