About the role

As a Maintenance Technician in our Lab Ops team, you will maintain and repair a variety of optical processing equipment, dividing your time between supporting production and performing preventative maintenance. This role requires adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced production environment, with ongoing training and potential evolution of responsibilities.

Responsibilities

  • Perform installation, preventative maintenance, and repairs on line manufacturing equipment.
  • Locate and diagnose failures, replace defective components, and perform basic troubleshooting using standard electronic equipment, detailed drawings, diagrams, sketches, specifications, prints, manuals, and verbal/written instructions.
  • Create and update standard operating procedures and work instructions.
  • Inspect and repair production and support equipment using mechanical, electrical, electronic, hydraulic, pneumatic, and vacuum technologies.
  • Provide guidance, training, and direction to assigned individuals, groups, or teams.
  • Maintain regular, prompt attendance, availability for overtime, and adjust schedule as needed.
  • Perform all duties according to established standards and in compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Maintain a clean, orderly, and safe workspace.

Requirements

  • 1-2 years of maintenance experience in production environments (experience with optical processing equipment is a plus).
  • Basic skills in both mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Experience with schematics, HVAC, and/or welding is preferred but not required.
  • Basic math skills and the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Basic computer skills and strong oral and written communication abilities.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

Work Environment

  • Stand and walk for the majority of any shift.
  • Work with and around chemicals; work areas may be wet, dirty, or have strong odors.
  • Regularly lift and move up to 30 lbs. to waist height.
  • Flexibility to work overtime as needed in a customer-driven environment.

Pay

Pay range: $18.94 - $29.42 per hour. Employee pay is determined by factors including geography, experience, qualifications, skills, and local minimum wage requirements. In addition, you may be offered a competitive bonus and/or commission plan.
