Corporate Associate (Mid-Level)

About the role

Venable LLP's Corporate Group seeks a mid-level corporate associate with four to six years of transactional experience to join our Baltimore, MD office.

Responsibilities

• Advising clients on corporate governance, securities transactions, corporate finance, and mergers and acquisitions
• Prioritize work that involves Maryland corporation law as it relates to real estate investment trusts (REITs), investment companies, operating companies and financial institutions
• Experience advising REITs on Maryland corporate law or public company governance is preferred

Requirements

• Excellent oral and written communication skills
• Outstanding academic credentials
• A proactive, client-service-oriented approach

Qualifications

• Holds a J.D. from an accredited law school
• In good standing with the applicable state bar

• Strong research and analytical skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Effective teamwork and collaboration
