About the role
Kwik Trip’s General Accounting Department is seeking a Corporate Accountant I.
Responsibilities
- Review fixed asset transactions for accuracy and process fixed asset transactions
- Balance and audit general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy of financial data
- Prepare reports for distribution to business units and to management
- Prepare and analyze financial information as part of interim reporting and annual audits
- Record journal entries and prepare other information necessary for financial statements
- Assist departments in gathering financial information or in proper recording of general ledger transactions
- Auxiliary with real estate tax payments and assessment tracking
- Assist with other various special projects as assigned
Qualifications
- Associate Accounting Degree or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of accounting principles and general ledger
- Must be detail oriented to ensure accuracy of financial information
- Maintain confidential information
- Able to prioritize and organize a variety of responsibilities in order to meet department deadlines
- Able to establish and maintain effective working relationships with other departments
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Products
- Knowledge of SAP Accounting software a plus
Work schedule
Full time hours generally Monday through Friday, daytime hours.
