Role Responsibilities

  • Identify, develop, and close new business for companies using travel services by focusing on industries with travel requirements.
  • Self-source leads utilizing various techniques including teleprospecting.
  • Achieve sales production targets and ensure account revenue potential is maximized.
  • Handle all sales activity with clients, including identifying and developing sales action plan parameters, distributing/collecting contracts, and implementing established operational guidelines.
  • Utilize sales tools provided, such as ZoomInfo, Salesforce.com, training manuals, PowerPoint presentations, financial analysis examples, case studies, etc., to track and record the sales pipeline and revenue projections along with account and contact information.
  • Maintain Salesforce.com to accurately reflect Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), daily activity, customer contact, pending deals, pipelines, etc.
  • Participate in periodic sales meetings, trade shows, etc.
  • Be responsible for the full-life cycle of the customer experience, including establishing new accounts, growing and developing existing accounts, and providing world-class customer support for these accounts.
  • Meet or exceed all performance standard requirements.
  • Comply with all management requests in a timely manner.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute a sales strategy and meet or exceed sales targets.
  • Demonstrated ability to sell and close business via the phone at decision-maker or C-level.
  • Experienced in selling and managing larger clients through multi-property hotel/corporate apartments preferred.
  • Experienced selling to and managing large clients with multi-property and extended stay workforce needs highly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop long-term account relationships.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently and with limited supervision.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Advanced networking, research, and strategic prospecting experience using a variety of tools and methods.
  • Must be a creative thinker to overcome customer objections.
  • Must be adaptable and be able to consistently deal with ever-changing conditions.
  • Strong telephone sales and prospecting skills.
  • Ability to organize and facilitate meetings.
  • A strong background with proven track record in direct sales.
  • Proficient using Salesforce.com, Outlook, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • 6+ years in direct sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Past remote office a plus.
