Hotel Sales & Corporate Development Executive
About the role
The Moriarty Group is seeking an ambitious and results-driven Hotel Sales & Corporate Development Executive to join their growing sales team. This role plays a key role in driving revenue growth across multiple market segments.
Responsibilities
- Generate, qualify, and convert new sales leads.
- Conduct proactive sales calls, client meetings, and hotel site inspections.
- Prepare and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
- Negotiate contracts, rates, and group agreements.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients.
- Identify new market opportunities and revenue streams.
- Manage and grow a portfolio of corporate accounts.
- Cook up and coordinate group bookings, including golf and tour series business.
- Ensure high levels of client satisfaction and retention.
- Gather and communicate client feedback to operational teams.
- Work closely with Events and Operations teams to ensure seamless delivery of meetings, conferences, and events.
- Attend and support hotel events and promotional activities as required.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and industry developments.
- Contribute to the development and execution of sales and marketing strategies.
- Drive bedroom revenue across both hotel properties through proactive sales activities and account development.
- Identify and secure new corporate accommodation contracts to increase room night production.
- Develop and grow relationships with key corporate accounts, travel management companies, and business travel buyers.
- Work closely with the Revenue Manager to maximise occupancy, average daily rate (ADR), and overall room revenue performance.
- Monitor room pick-up, booking pace, market demand, and competitor activity to identify revenue opportunities.
- Proactively target transient corporate business, crew business, government contracts, and long-stay accommodation opportunities.
- Assist in the development and execution of annual rooms sales strategies and revenue plans.
- Support the achievement of budgeted occupancy, ADR, and RevPAR targets across both hotel properties.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts and pipeline reports relating to rooms business and contracted corporate accounts.
- Work closely with the Marketing Team to maximise local and national promotional opportunities.
- Plan and execute database marketing campaigns, including e-zines and direct marketing initiatives.
- Organise and host FAM trips, client showcases, and promotional events.
- Represent the hotels at trade shows, exhibitions, workshops, networking events, and industry functions.
- Maintain regular engagement with local business groups, tourism organisations, and trade bodies.
- Prepare weekly and monthly sales reports.
- Produce weekly activity reports for the Hotel Operations Director and Operations Manager.
- Maintain accurate client records and sales activity tracking.
- Ensure all sales administration and follow-up activity is completed promptly.
- Aid in the development and management of the annual Sales Activity Plan.
Requirements
This role requires a proactive and commercially focused individual who can identify new business opportunities, manage key accounts, build long-term client relationships, and contribute to the achievement of revenue and occupancy targets.

Schedule
This is a full-time position working an average of 42.5 hours per week, 5 days over 7. While the role will primarily operate Monday to Friday, flexibility is required, including occasional evenings and weekends to support business requirements, client events, and promotional activities.
