Corinth Reman Engines, Cranks & Blocks Disassembler I (2nd shift)

The Caterpillar Remanufacturing Division has an opening for a Disassembly I position at the Corinth, MS facility. In this role, you will disassemble engines and/or components and perform correct sorting of parts.

Responsibilities

• Work in a fast-paced, safety- and quality-focused environment to disassemble engines and/or components
• Cross-train in other Salary Grade 1 positions (Cleaning 1, Assembly 1, Logistics 1) based on qualifications and physical requirements
• Use various tooling such as hand and power tools
• Operate overhead hoists to move large components
• Use respirators related to detail/cleaning tasks
• Utilize manual pallet jacks, overhead cranes, and/or electric pallet jacks to move parts
• Perform material handling, unloading parts from tubs and/or baskets according to production schedules
• Sort incoming material and/or disassemble components, including data entry
• Use various computer systems, including email, on a regular basis
• Adhere to Built-in-Safety guidelines
• Work in a team environment without close supervision

Requirements

• Basic computer experience (ability to read standard work documents and enter data)
• Ability to read, write, and interpret documents
• Attention to detail and self-motivation
• Ability to work in an environment with frequently changing temperatures
• Ability to walk, squat, and bend for intervals of 15-30 minutes
• Ability to wear proper PPE, including detail suits and/or respirators
• Ability to lift, push, or pull heavy parts up to 30 lbs. multiple times per shift
• Ability to stand for up to 10+ hours per shift

Qualifications

• Experience using Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel)
• Prior use of hoists
• Knowledge of engines and components
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with basic tooling (hand tools, air tools, pneumatic tools, etc.)

Pay

Starting hourly pay rate of $16.55 (pay negotiations accepted and based on skills/experience). Additional 7% night shift premium. Summary pay range: $17.05 - $22.15.

Schedule

2nd shift: 3 PM - 1 AM, Monday - Thursday. 40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime.
