About the role

Caterpillar Remanufacturing is seeking a Painter I to join our dynamic team in the Corinth, MS facility. The ideal candidate will have previous paint application experience in a manufacturing setting and basic computer skills.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a spray applicator and/or other equipment to apply industrial paint finishes on engines or component parts
  • Mix paints and other solutions, monitor drying to ensure desired quality results
  • Inspect parts and materials to ensure they are free from quality defects
  • Complete daily production logs to meet environmental and safety standards
  • Conduct operations level maintenance on all paint systems and equipment
  • Identify and relay information for correction on discrepancies in affected assembly processes, safety, quality, and production issues
  • Prioritize work to meet production schedules
  • Flexibility to work across other value streams

Requirements

  • Previous paint application experience within a manufacturing setting
  • Basic computer skills and knowledge of MS Office Applications
  • Basic understanding of both hand and air (pneumatic) tooling
  • Previous experience in an automotive, paint or body setting or similar application experience
  • Basic understanding of blueprints
  • Previous experience with compliant spray equipment
  • Interest in becoming a power trainer

Qualifications

  • Comfort with heights and utilization of ladders and lifts
  • Ability to sit or stand for prolonged periods
  • Ability to perform repetitive operations
  • Ability to lift up to 35 pounds
  • Must be able to wear a detail suit with hood and/or respirator
  • Must be able to wear proper PPE
  • Must be able to stand for up to 10+ hours per shift

Benefits

  • Starting hourly pay rate of $19.75 (pay negotiations based on skills/experience)
  • Work Hours: 3PM - 1AM (Monday - Thursday), 40-hour work weeks with potential for overtime
  • 80 hours of vacation with an additional 3 days (hours dependent on work schedule) of Paid Time Off (PTO) (all prorated based on hire date)

Pay

$19.75 - $25.65 per hour

2nd shift with an additional 7% night shift premium
