Core CNC Process Owner
About the role
A Snapshot of Your Day In this role, you will be the subject matter expert for ceramic core machining via CNC. Your day will include CAM program development and refinement using Hypermill and Siemens NX, for use on Okuma and Fanuc multi-axis machines. You will mentor manufacturing associates in day-to-day topics such as part machining, fixture set-up, TPM, etc. You will lead continuous improvement efforts, including the adoption of new technologies for machining to improve yields, cycle times, and part quality.
Responsibilities
- Define, troubleshoot, standardize and govern core CNC machining processes for blade and vane core components, ensuring consistency and quality
- Lead continuous improvement initiatives to optimize machining cycle time, tooling, yield and process efficiency with existing technology
- Prepare work instructions, provide training and technical evaluation for manufacturing associates
- Manage large-scale projects related to evaluation/adoption of new technologies
- Act as liaison between manufacturing sites, championing best practice sharing
Requirements
Minimum 8 years of experience in 4-axis CAM programming required
Experience with Renishaw probing for CNC required
Working knowledge of Hypermill and Siemens NX preferred
Qualifications
Ability to travel up to 35%, including internationally

Zero or low emission power generation and all gas turbines under one roof, steam turbines and generators.
