Responsibilities
- Analyze historical and current financial data to estimate future revenues and expenditures.
- Prepare and review financial statements, operating records, and profit plans to assess organizational health.
- Support a variety of core financial functions including:
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Financial and tax planning
- Cost control and project control
- Consolidation and auditing
- Evaluate capital expenditures, investment opportunities, and return on investment.
- Identify trends, operational inefficiencies, and cost-saving opportunities through detailed financial reviews.
- Develop and implement financial models and concepts for planning, reporting, and control.
- Provide analytical support and recommendations on budgets, forecasts, compliance, and special financial studies.
- Advise management on the effective use of resources and help interpret financial and budgetary assumptions.
- Conduct audits and ensure compliance with internal controls and external regulations.
- Serve as a consultant to leadership on financial policies, procedures, and best practices.
- Offer technical guidance and mentorship to junior finance or accounting staff when applicable.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field with a Master’s or CPA/CFA preferred
- 2+ years of experience in financial analysis, preferably within a deadline-driven environment
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, GAAP, and reporting standards
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial software (e.g., QuickBooks, NetSuite, SAP, or similar)
- Experience with business performance metrics, including revenue per head, cost efficiency, and P&L analysis
- Superior attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines
- Strong communication skills — written and verbal — with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial teams
- Ability to work effectively in a cross-functional environment, collaborating with various departments and senior management
- A proactive, self-starter attitude with a passion for continuous improvement and learning
