About the role
Northeast Arc is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to join our residential team at Thaxton House in Beverly, MA. Thaxton House is home to a vibrant group of young adults with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS) who thrive on structure, community involvement, and meaningful relationships. Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and individualized supports to adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities
- Promote independence, community engagement, and meaningful life experiences
- Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and medication administration
- Support medical appointments and health-related needs
- Maintain accurate documentation and ensure a safe, supportive home environment
Qualifications
- Valid driver's license required
- MAP Certification required
- FA/CPR certification preferred
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs., stand for long periods of time, bend, push wheelchairs, and provide physical intervention as needed
Pay
$24.50 - $25.50 per hour (Based on experience and certifications - CPR/FA/MAP)
Schedule
Monday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday: 3:00 PM - 11:00 PM and Saturday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM (Full-Time | 40 Hours per Week)
