About the role

This open position is in a highly behavioral residential home setting. We are seeking candidates with experience working with behavioral individuals.

Responsibilities

• Advocate and support adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities, empowering them to be as active in their lives as possible.
• Assist with household maintenance, meal preparation, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, and other personal care tasks.
• Accompany individuals to medical appointments, banking, community outings, and administer medications as required.
• Follow Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans and goals, and adhere to medical guidelines.
• Ensure safe evacuation of individuals from the home in emergency situations.
• Maintain required certifications and comply with agency policies and DDS regulations/policies.

• Commitment to assisting people with varying disabilities to participate fully in their community and in their own lives.
• Varied interests and personal connections in the local community.
• Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer or school history).
• Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team.

Requirements

• Must be 21+ with reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Experience working in a residential setting with highly behavioral individuals.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in fluent English.

Pay

Salary range: $17.50 – $19.00 per hour (paid training provided).

Schedule

Part‑time schedule: Saturdays, 4:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m. (6 hours).
