About the role
This open position is in a highly behavioral residential home setting. The Direct Support Professional (DSP) is responsible for advocating and supporting adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities by empowering them to be as active in their lives as they can. Their support needs include, but are not limited to, household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, etc., so that they may always look and feel their best. The DSP may be asked to assist with medical appointments, banking, community outings, administering medications, following Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans and goals, and following medical guidelines that are in place.
The DSP must be able to safely evacuate individuals from the home in the event of an emergency. Workers must maintain certifications, handle job-related duties in compliance with Agency policies, and follow all DDS regulations/policies.
Responsibilities
- Assist with household maintenance, meal preparation, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, and teeth brushing
- Support individuals to medical appointments, banking, and community outings
- Administer medications and follow Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans, and goals
- Follow medical guidelines and agency policies
- Safely evacuate individuals from the home in emergencies
Requirements
- Must be 21+ with reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license
- High School Diploma or GED
- Experience working in a residential setting with highly behavioral individuals
- Ability to speak, read, and write in fluent English

Pay
$17.50 – $19.00 per hour (Paid Training!)
Schedule
- Part-time: 24 hours per week
- Schedule: Thursday–Saturday, 2:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
