Responsibilities
- Advocate and support adults 22 and over with intellectual and developmental disabilities to empower them to be as active in their lives as possible.
- Assist with household maintenance, meal prep, shopping, bathing, toileting, dressing, teeth brushing, etc.
- Assist individuals to medical appointments, banking, community outings, and becoming active community members.
- Administer medications, follow Behavior Support Plans, Individual Support Plans and goals, and follow medical guidelines.
- Participate in paid New Employee Orientation, paid CPR/First Aid, PABC, Defensive Driving, and Medication Administration Program (MAP), plus program‑ and person‑specific training at the individuals’ home.
- Safely evacuate individuals from the home in an emergency.
- Maintain certifications, comply with agency policies, and follow all DDS regulations/policies.

- Proven record of conscientious, responsible behavior (work, volunteer or school history).
- Ability to work as a creative, engaged, dedicated member of the team.
Requirements
- Must be 21+ years old.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license (daily use of a car on site preferred but not required).
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Ability to speak, read, and write in fluent English.
- Willingness to work a flexible schedule, including holidays, overnights, or double shifts.
- Available by telephone for daily contact.

Pay
Pay rate: $17.50 – $19.00 per hour. Paid training provided. Sign‑on bonus: $500 for part‑time employees.
Schedule
Part‑time, 16 hours per week. Schedule: Friday–Saturday, 7 a.m.–3 p.m.
