We are looking for a meticulous Copy Editor to support high-quality editorial work for a real estate organization. This is a long-term contract position focused on refining existing written materials before publication, with particular emphasis on financial reports, research-driven publications, and thought leadership pieces.
Responsibilities
- Review and polish prewritten content to ensure clarity, consistency, and readiness for publication.
- Edit financial reports, analytical documents, and insight-driven articles while preserving the intended meaning and tone.
- Check grammar, punctuation, syntax, and style across a range of written materials.
- Validate tables, figures, statistics, and supporting details to improve overall accuracy and credibility.
- Apply careful fact-checking practices to confirm information is complete, correct, and aligned throughout each document.
- Provide a final editorial quality review before content is released or published.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies, clarify language, and strengthen readability.
- Maintain editorial standards across multiple content types while managing deadlines in a contract environment.
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience in copy editing and editorial review of existing content.
- Background editing financial reports, research publications, or thought leadership materials.
- Exceptional attention to detail in grammar, formatting, data presentation, and numerical accuracy.
- Strong fact-checking skills and the ability to identify inconsistencies in complex documents.
- Excellent written communication skills and a firm grasp of editorial standards with a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently while handling multiple assignments and meeting deadlines.
- Proficiency in content editing with a careful, quality-focused approach to final review.
