Coordinator, Theatrical Finance
Responsibilities
- Invoice and collect film rental and related revenue from Theater Circuits in the U.S. market.
- Apply film rent payments from Theater Owners and Circuits.
- Audit and process box office reports.
- Reconcile trial balances, audit payment terms and revenue calculations.
- Review and report account status and payment information for each account to Sales team weekly.
- Review and recommend credit status changes.
- Audit and process credit refunds, as needed.
- Strategize and execute collection initiatives and holds for upcoming theatrical releases.
- Complete all necessary payment applications and reconciliation for month-end reporting.
- Database queries and ad hoc reports.
- Assist with software upgrades, implementations, testing, and documentation.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient in MS Office suite, with advanced experience in MS Excel (Ex. Pivot tables, VLOOKUP, XLOOKUP, IF statements, SUMIFS).
- Experience working with large datasets, including data validation, cleansing, reconciliation, and analysis.
- Familiarity with SQL queries and relational database management programs.
- A minimum of two years of experience in Accounts Receivable, or Collections.
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Business or Accounting, with coursework in Media, Entertainment, or equivalent.
- Successful candidate must be analytical, highly motivated, detail-oriented, resourceful, and an organized multi-tasker, with confident and professional communication skills, and a strong interest in business process improvements and emerging technologies.
- Prior industry experience is preferable, with a passionate interest in Film, Entertainment, Media and Box Office.
