About the role
The position will coordinate vital trade/technical programs within Applied Technology and Logistics focusing on Building & Industrial Technology and other Technical Training areas.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate a functional process within assigned College department or division.
- Design, develop and implement department programs or initiatives.
- Maintain department records and files, as required.
- Facilitate and attend meetings, as required.
- Recruit, select, supervise, advise, and evaluate assigned staff, as required.
- Prepare, analyze and provide reports on miscellaneous subjects, as requested.
- Manage program expenses efficiently and economically.
- Identify, access and analyze program data in the college’s enterprise system.
- Develop new courses (including meeting accreditation and/or certification standards) and course series.
- Provide superior customer service and problem-solving to both students and contract training clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in business, communications, education, human resources, management, or training and development, Master’s degree preferred.
- Two (2) years of full-time experience, and one (1) year of full-time supervisory and/or project management experience required in a relevant industry.
- Relevant industries include but are not limited to the following sectors: aerospace, business services, construction, defense, education, energy, government, information technology, life sciences, logistics, manufacturing, transportation, and associated service providers.
- Experience in a capacity that includes the planning and implementation of programs, services and/or products is required.
- Experience that includes the administration, documentation, planning and implementation of training and/or work-based learning programs is preferred.
- Licensure/certifications related to education, industry, or program development/management preferred.
Qualifications
- Compensation within the posted range is determined by a candidate's education level and/or years of experience in the field.
- Generally, employees are hired in the lower third of the scale.
Skills
- Strong organizational and communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Knowledge of industry-specific software and tools.

Hours and schedule are flexible and can be arranged based on the needs of the position and the individual.
