Essential Functions
- Assesses incidents, complaints and/or accidents for the purpose of monitoring bus driver performance, resolving or recommending a resolution to the event and providing a formal review of accidents.
- Schedules routes and field trips for the purpose of matching drivers' qualifications with assignment requirements and ensuring optimal utilization of personnel.
- Provides training of school bus drivers for the purpose of evaluating and reviewing bus drivers' job knowledge and complying with state requirements.
- Collaborates with other District personnel for the purpose of implementing and maintaining required transportation services.
- Evaluates bus routes for the purpose of ensuring that routes can be completed in a safe and efficient manner.
- Maintains personnel records and other mandated information for the purpose of meeting regulatory requirements.
- Participates in meetings, workshops and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions.
- Monitors driver performance for the purpose of identifying potential training needs and ensuring performance is meeting established standards and expectations.
- Performs personnel administrative functions for the purpose of maintaining adequate staffing, enhancing productivity of personnel and ensuring department/program outcomes are achieved.
- Prepares a variety of materials for the purpose of documenting activities, providing written reference, and/or conveying information in compliance with established regulatory and reporting guidelines.
- Processes documents and materials for the purpose of disseminating information in compliance with administrative guidelines and/or regulatory requirements.
- Recommends policies, procedures and/or actions for the purpose of providing direction for meeting the District's transportation service goals and objectives.
- Responds to inquiries from a variety of internal and external parties for the purpose of providing information, facilitating communication among parties, providing direction, and/or resolving identified issues with an emphasis on providing good customer service.
- Responds to emergencies including after hours field trip requirements for the purpose of addressing immediate safety and /or scheduling concerns.
- Responds to complaints that may be related to driver performance, student behavior and/or route schedules for the purpose of prioritizing and identifying those issues to be addressed in accordance with established procedures.
- Supervises bus drivers and bus attendants for the purpose of ensuring their performance meets established standards.
- Supports Director in various activities for the purpose of ensuring services are provided in an efficiently and timely manner.
Requirements
- Age 16+
- High school diploma or equivalent.
