Coordinator, Publishing Services - The Orchard

About the role
This New York-based, full-time position will report to the Associate Director and play an integral role in executing all initiatives related to The Orchard’s Publishing service. The Coordinator will function as the day-to-day resource for an assigned portion of the client base and will be the primary support to their publishing business. You will work closely with independent labels from the client onboarding stage—including demoing the Orchard’s Publishing technology systems—to the registration of songs at publishing sources and payees worldwide, while responding to ad-hoc client inquiries.
Responsibilities
- Office-first role, in office 4 days a week
- Oversee the Publishing Administration onboarding process for clients and field inquiries related to song registrations, licensing opportunities, and publishing accounting statements
- Facilitate demos with clients of The Orchard’s Publishing Service tech solutions
- Ingest new client catalogs into Orchard databases
- Execute quality assurance processes with respect to song metadata delivered by clients
- Work closely with client teams and the Sony Music Publishing affiliate offices to facilitate and track communication regarding catalog registration, client development, and creative initiatives
Requirements
- Previous working experience in the music industry with a focus on music publishing services preferred
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Extensive working knowledge and experience using Excel and Google Suite
- Comfortability managing and reviewing large datasets
- Highly organized with an ability to track and prioritize a high volume of projects and adjust to changing priorities
- Innovative problem solver with a detail-oriented work ethic and a desire to build and maintain new methods and solutions for organizing and tracking complex systems and relationships

Pay
New York Pay Range: $48,000—$50,000 USD (annual base salary). The actual base salary offered depends on qualifications, experience, skills, education, location, and other factors.
