Responsibilities
- Coordinating surgical supplies with outside vendors, ensuring surgical suites are ready and prepared for scheduled procedures.
- Demonstrated knowledge of a wide range of surgical instruments.
- Assuming responsibility for vendor relations, including instrument education, new items, DHP clearance, and vendor notification 72 hours prior to any scheduled case.
- Participating in OR inventory counts – hospital‑owned implant/charge items reordered and conducting PAR reviews.
- Arranging Frozen Tissue orders and maintaining PAR levels.
- Entering utilized human tissue into UDI Tissue Tracker and sending information card to the appropriate company.
