About the Role
The Coordinator of Student Life collaborates with the Director and stakeholders across campus to design, implement, and continuously improve the impact of activities that create innovative, intentional, and meaningful student interactions that support students' path from recruitment to on-time completion.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of two years of experience leading and collaborating with teams to develop data-informed strategies and work plans that progress individuals toward defined goals and outcomes.
- Minimum of two years of demonstrated experience planning and organizing events.
- Current driver's license.

- Exceptional problem-solving and critical-thinking skills with experience using data to inform continuous improvement.
- Knowledge of systems and programs that support progress toward defined outcomes.

Preferred Qualifications
- Three years of experience progressing audiences toward defined outcomes.
- Experience working with and managing groups, clubs, and organizations toward defined outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Utilize data available to support the review and strengthening of existing programs, and the planning of new programs that yield a meaningful impact on the greatest number of individuals.
- Gain basic knowledge of and collaborate with recruitment, admissions, and advising to support students through recruitment and onboarding to on-time completion.
- Collaborate to support the development and expansion of programming that fosters persistence and retention.
- Serve as point of contact for Oklahoma State Regents for Higher Education (OSRHE) student initiatives.
- Coordinate and facilitate interaction with and among student groups, organizations, and community-based volunteer activities.
- Assist with the development of the semester action plan.
- Assist in documenting activities and events sponsored by campus clubs and organizations.
- Assist and collaborate with the OSU Foundation to manage and guide the President's Leadership Class from recruiting, retention, and completion.
- Develop and plan event schedule and programming for students in OSU-OKC Student Government Association and President's Leadership Class students.
- Provide support to club officers and advisors to ensure effective operations and compliance with university policies.
- Support campus-wide retention efforts.
- Comply with all state and university policies.
- Complete all mandatory training and participate in a minimum of two professional development opportunities each year.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions
- Must be able to work flexible hours to include some nights and weekends.
- Work will be performed in an office environment with a significant amount of public contact, in person, by telephone, via email, and various communication platforms.
- Duties require extended periods of sitting, talking, and listening.
- Duties require extensive use of computers, telephones, and other office equipment.
- Requires possible lifting of up to 25 lbs (if an object weighs more than 45 pounds, OSU-Oklahoma City requires this to be a two-person lift).
- Travel may be required.
Pay
$19.08 - $19.84 hourly
Schedule
Office hours of operation are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 am–6:00 pm, Friday 8:00 am–5:00 pm, with occasional evenings and weekends.
