About the role

Field-based position responsible for increased levels of revenue attainment and resolution of cases involving continuing provision of ZOLL products and services with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and support staff.

On any given day, clinicians utilize ZOLL products for tens of thousands of cardiac patients around the world. Your work will help ensure cardiac patients get the life-saving therapy they need.

Responsibilities

  • Visit ZOLL customers and accounts in the field to ensure continuity of provision of ZOLL’s medical devices for clinically appropriate cases.
  • Determine independently and work collaboratively with office staff and healthcare providers to bring patient cases to the staff’s attention, including:
    • Prioritize competing objectives (patient’s plan of care, potential transition of care, reorder documentation, and possible end of use) based on clinical acumen and knowledge of ZOLL’s medical devices to determine the best path forward for patient care and advise providers accordingly.
    • Utilize individualized analysis and the Plan of Care to proactively inform providers or their staff of the patient’s next level of care and how ZOLL’s medical devices may play a role.
  • Collaborate with ZOLL TM/RM to ensure patients within a geography receive appropriate service with minimal disruption.
  • Manage the follow-up process by working with other departments, such as National Accounts, to drive efficiencies within the payer’s environment.
  • Maintain working knowledge of clinical and other value propositions based on ZOLL products and services.
  • Ensure timely processing of required documentation to prevent delays in service provision and reduce risk to recurring revenue streams.
  • Develop and maintain full working knowledge of varied payer requirements to ensure compliance and increase reimbursement realization.
  • Provide ongoing education and training to hospital and office staff on medical device order requirements and workflows.
  • Improve claims billing yield within a defined geography, including eligibility for potential bonus incentives.
  • Assist with departmental projects and special tasks (e.g., Pilot Teams).
  • Achieve and maintain acceptable performance metrics.
  • Comply with Standard Operating Procedures and maintain working knowledge of applicable healthcare regulations, particularly HIPAA.
  • Participate in reasonable work activities as assigned by management.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university, or equivalent combination of education and experience in sales.
  • Healthcare/Medical Device (Clinical or Billing) experience preferred.
  • Experienced ability to navigate hospital and clinic/practice environments, including hospital workflows, document collection, and provider/patient interactions.
  • Valid driver’s license.

  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to multi-task.
  • Problem-solving mentality with accountability for tasks from start to finish.
  • Proficient working knowledge of MS Office (including Power BI, Excel, Word, Outlook) and Customer Relationship Management systems (e.g., Salesforce.com, Dynamics).
  • Effective team player capable of working independently with strong self-motivation.

Travel

This is a field-based position requiring approximately 80% travel within a defined geography. Employee will work daily in hospitals, doctors’ offices, and other medical establishments. Occasionally may require atypical hours (evenings and weekends) based on business needs.

Pay

The annual salary for this position is $50,000.00 to $55,000.00. Factors affecting starting salary include geography, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
